VOLUNTEERING

The volunteer program consists of a variety of people with a wide variety of backgrounds but they all have one thing in common:

they all have big hearts for animals.

The volunteers are committed to helping at the shelter in their free time. The animals are socialized, bathed, and exercised by the volunteers. Volunteers also help by getting to know the animals and often advise potential adopters on their future companions. Besides working with the animals, volunteers help with planning and organizing fundraising events and by spreading awareness of humane treatment towards animals to the community.

For more information, please call the HSDC at 410-228-3090.

We are always in need of new volunteers
(and any amount of time you have to offer, large or small, is greatly appreciated).
